Entry #6 Hershey Park
If you’re a fan of rollercoasters and theme parks, you should put Hershey Park as one place to visit. Out of the parks that I’ve been to, it’s one of my favorites. I may be a little biased, though, as I grew up in Pennsylvania and have gone there more times than I can count. But I think that in itself is a testament to how fun the rides there are!
Spanning across 121 acres, Hershey Park has over seventy rides with fourteen rollercoasters, a waterpark, and even a zoo. There’s something for everyone. Just earlier this year, in May, the park opened a new ride called the Twizzler Twisted Gravity ride. It’s a giant swing that stands 137 feet tall and swings you back and forth up to 68 miles per hour! I went there in June, but didn't get to ride it since the wait time was up to two hours ! If you were to go in the summer like I did, I’d definitely recommend getting the fast pass as well. It can save you from waiting too long in PA's hot and sticky air.
Apart from this new ride, some of the other fan favorites include Candymonium, the Great Bear, Fahrenheit, and Wildcat's Revenge. If you want to have a fun time, you shouldn't skip these rides. They're some of the biggest rides at the park. That being said, there is one ride that you can skip. And that's the Super Duper Looper. With a name like that, you'd think there'd be tons of loops, but in reality, it only has one.
Even if you’re not into big rides, the waterpark and zoo make the park fun for everyone, including younger kids or those who prefer something a bit calmer. ZooAmerica spans eleven acres and is home to more than 200 animals, while the waterpark has both thrilling slides and relaxing attractions like a lazy river — perfect for enjoying the best of both worlds.
No matter how many times I go, I don’t think Hershey Park will ever get old. This place holds a lot of memories and nostalgia for me, but it’s also a great park for people of most ages. If you’re in PA for whatever reason and need somewhere fun to be, then I’d highly recommend giving Hershey Park a try!
I love thrill rides, but I have only really gone to amusement parks in California and Florida. This sounds like it would be a blast and a completely new area for me as well. The only ride that I have recently been on that was a real thrill was the Velocicoaster in Universal Florida. These rides seem like they would actually be really fun to go on and get the adrenaline going.
ReplyDeleteYour four new entries look good, Nona. Your writing flows well, and you have good personality in your writing. Good visual appeal with images and layout. You are developing your content pretty well and starting to work the concepts of rhetoric into your writing to connect to your audience and keep them engaged. Keep at it!
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting to go to Hershey Park for so long. Sky rush is one of Intamin's only Hyper coasters and is currently a 1/1 model coaster. Not to mention they have North Americas only Norwegian Loop on the ride Fahrenheit. I am very jealous you went.
